Looking to work with children and young people?
Our entry level Working with Children and Young People course provides the knowledge and skills that potential employers and organisations that work with children, young people and families will be looking for in their employees and volunteers. It is aimed at supporting people to gain employment or volunteering opportunities in the children's workforce.
The course is available to be purchased by organisations for group training sessions (minimum five participants). Look out for details of our scheduled training events, coming soon!
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
Our course is suited to those already in the children's workforce and those completely new to it, such as:
- School support staff
- Parents and carers
- Those leaving the armed forces
- Those looking to volunteer or gain employment in the charity sector
- Those running community groups
- Those looking to work in the childcare sector
The course is made up of four discrete units of learning:
Unit 1 - The Children's Workforce
Unit 2 - Managing Challenging Behaviour
Unit 3 - Dealing With Trauma and Attachment
Unit 4 - Essential Skills for Working with Children and Young People
