Katie has one of the most important roles in our company. We see the people and organisations we work with as partners rather sales. When clients choose to work with us it is usually because Katie has taken the time to become invested in who they want to help and what they want to achieve.
Katie has 20 years experience working in partnership and research roles in the education sector and across the children’s workforce supporting marginalised groups of people like refugees, disadvantaged young people and foster carers. Her passion is driving forward widening participation and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
Katie also has over 10 years experience working in and with leading Universities in the UK and internationally, developing and delivering accredited training and research projects for local authorities, community, faith and voluntary groups.
Katie has published research in number of publications as well as presented at research conferences including:
Smith, P.H and Simpson. (2012). Creating Partnerships in Challenging Times. City of York Council's Children and Young People's Plan; Consultation Event 2012)
Leach, T and Simpson K. (2012). Using email interviews in collaborative research. Presentation and Paper, Second International Conference of Value and Virtue in Practice Based Research. York St John University July 2012.
