Children and young people can face a lot of different challenges throughout their childhood, including growing and changing friendships, the birth of siblings, moving home or school, academic pressures or changing family dynamics.

It’s important for children and young people to have good emotional resilience so they have the tools to both understand and talk about how they’re feeling and successfully ‘bounce back’ from the challenges life throws at them.

WHAT WILL YOU GET?

Our Emotional Resilience E-Learning Courses are designed to support you, through a range of practical and engaging activities, to:

  • Gain the techniques and skills for supporting children & young people to improve their mental strength and wellbeing

  • Understand how to help children & young people build and strengthen their resilience

  • Enhance children’s relationships with each other, and with significant adults in their lives

  • Feel able to support children & young people to develop general coping skills and mechanisms that help them cope with common challenges of everyday life

  • Support children & young people to adapt to transitions, changes and pressures from school and within the home environment

  • Improve the understanding of the pressures of adolescence (child development ages and stages)

  • Identify the early signs of mental health issues

  • Reduce stress for parents & caregivers

Practical support strategies and interventions, signposting and guidance are given to help learners to feel confident in encouraging and maintaining positive mental health and building emotional resilience in children and young people.

Our courses are 3 hours in total and are broken down into 9 bitesize sessions for you to complete in your own time, at your own pace.

The courses consist of a mixture of resources including:

  • pre-recorded webinars delivered by our experienced tutors

  • videos and animations

  • interactive tasks and reflective exercises

  • They also include downloadable resource packs with lots of tasks, tips and tools for you to refer back to once you have completed the course
