Zoo Skatepark to receive £2000 from Postcode Community Trust
BrightSparks' sister company Social Impact Services have secured a £2000 grant from Postcode Community Trust for The Zoo Skatepark in York.
Currently, children and young people using the skatepark have to have their own equipment (scooters, skateboards, rollerblades and safety equipment such as a helmet) in order to use the skatepark. Those that don't have access to, or can't afford the equipment, are unable to participate.
This grant will allow The Zoo to purchase a range of skate and safety equipment, allowing more children and young people to enjoy the skatepark.

"This grant will help increase grass roots participation in skate sports in York, leading to a more vibrant community of people participating in skate sports and developing their skills and confidence.
